during
the INTERVIEW
Try to enjoy the interview and get something positive out
of it. If you enjoy it so will the interviewer and your chances
will be improved.
Never expect your qualifications and experience on their own
to be enough to get you the job. Your personality is just
as important, especially as the job involves working with
other people as most do.
- Never lie or boast. Be positive and confident
and you will stand out and be taken seriously.
- Listen and concentrate. If you are asked a technical
question use your common sense if you are not sure of
the answer. Don't waffle, and if you don't know the answer,
say so.
- The chance for you to ask questions is your opportunity
to shine and it is also the time to clear up any points
that you are unsure of with the job or its description.
- DO NOT ask about salary or benefits at first interview
stage unless the interviewer has brought it up - this
is normally covered at the second interview stage.
